"Make Financial Services Work " Information Session

In cooperation with Morgan Stanley, the event “Make Financial Services Work” is an exciting opportunity for all students of all years groups to get a better insight into the world of Fin-tech! Scheduled for 20th and 21st of February 2020, the event will take place at Tontine Business Incubator, located in Glasgow’s Merchant City.

Financial Data Workshop

Data is everywhere. Figure out where to get access to data and some insightful data hacks and skills to the financial industry.

"Make Financial Services Work"

20th & 21st February
Tontine Business Incubar, 20 Trongate (G1 5ES)
Students are put together in teams of 4 and are required to solve a case study on the topic of financial inclusion and consumer vulnerability, by pitching their ideas/solutions in front of a panel of judges. The finalists will be awarded with prizes! To help teams tackle the challenge more effectively, students will participate in workshop sessions focused on the Design Thinking method.

Women in Fintech

Are you aspiring to work in Tech? Interested in meeting professionals in the field? A fan of pancakes plus prosecco? If at least one of these apply to you, join us for the “Women in FinTech” event at Morgan Stanley on March 4th. First you’ll hear each speaker’s unique perspective as a woman in Tech. Then, you’ll have the chance to ask them questions in a speed networking session. If that isn’t enough to convince you, remember the pancakes and prosecco that you presumably read on for?

The University of Glasgow FinTech Society proudly announces the final event of the Applied FinTech Project! #AFTP
The presentations and speeches will be followed by dinner and live music! The event represents a great networking opportunity for both the participants of the Applied FinTech Project and the attendees, as many professionals from the industry will be present at the event.
